28. A square prism with a 110 mm long axis is resting on its base on the HP. The edges of the
base are equally inclined to VP. The prism is cut by an Auxiliary inclined plane passing
through the midpoint if the axis in such a way that the true shape of the section is rhombus
having diagonals of 100 mm and 50 mm. Draw the three views showing section and
auxiliary view revealing the true shape of the section. (Dec. ’13, M.U.)[Old]. Also draw the
D.L.S.
29. The distance between the opposite parallel faces of a 50 mm thick hexagonal block id 75 mm.
The block has one of its rectangular faces parallel to the HP and its axis makes an angle of 300
with the VP. It is cut by a section plane making an angle of 300 with the HP and normal to the
VP and bisecting the axis. Draw its front view, sectional top view and true shape of section.
(May ’13, M.U.)[Old]. Also draw the development of lateral surfaces.
30. A pentagonal pyramid has its base in the V.P. and the edge of the base nearer to the H.P. is
parallel to it. A section plane perpendicular to V.P. inclined at 450 to H.P., cuts the pyramid
at a distance 6 mm from the axis. Draw the F.V., sectional T.V. and also draw the D.L.S. Base
of the pyramid 30 mm side, axis 50 mm long. (May ’03, M.U.)
31. A cone of base 70 mm diameter and axis 90 mm long is resting on its base on the H.P. It is cut
by an AIP, which is parallel to and 15 mm away from one of its end generators. Draw the
F.V., sectional T.V., sectional S.V. and the true shape of a section. Also draw the D.L.S. (Dec.
’11, Nov ’84, M.U.)
