ASSIGNMENT NO. 04 (PROJECTION OF SOLIDS)
20. A square prism with side of base 40 mm and axis height 60 mm is resting on one of the
corner of base in the HP. The longer edge containing the corner is inclined at 500 to the HP.
21. A pentagonal prism, edge of base 30 mm and axis length 60 mm has one of its of the base in
the VP. Draw its projections if rectangular face containing that edge makes an angle 300 with
the VP. (Dec ’94, M.U.)
22. A hexagonal prism with edge of base 30 mm and height 70 mm has its edge of base in the VP
and the base surface is inclined at 300 to VP and perpendicular to HP. Draw its projections.
(Dec. 2013, M.U.)[rev]
23. A right circular cylinder diameter of base 50 mm and axis height 70 mm has one of the
circumference point of base in the VP such that its axis is inclined at 300 to the VP. Draw its
projections.
24. A square pyramid of 30 mm edge of base and 60 mm length of axis is having an edge of base
inclined at 450 to the HP and in the VP. Draw projections if the triangular face containing that
edge is inclined at 300 to the VP. (May ’12, M.U.)
25. A pentagonal pyramid 35 mm base edges and 70 mm height is resting on HP with one of its
triangular surface perpendicular to HP and parallel and nearer to VP. Draw its projections.
(May ’99, May 2012, Dec. 2012, M.U.)
26. A hexagonal pyramid, side of base 30 mm and length of axis 60 mm is tilted towards the
observer on one of its base edges in such a way that the triangular face containing that edge
on which the pyramid rests, appears in front view as an isosceles triangle of 30 mm base and
45 mm altitude. Draw the projections and find the inclination of the base of the pyramid with
the HP. (June ’96, M.U.)
27. A right circular cone of base 60 mm diameter and axis 75 mm long is lying on VP on one of
its end generator. Draw projections of the cone when F.V. of an axis inclined at 450 with the
HP. (Dec. 2014, M.U.)[old]
